Birth Prep Consultations | 👥 One-on-One
Looking for birth preparation that’s a little more personal? Brianna offers one-on-one Birth Prep Consultations for parents who want to skip the group class and go deeper into their own questions, preferences, and circumstances. Drawing on years of experience as a doula, women’s health provider, and lifelong birth nerd, these sessions help you cut through the huge amount of birth information out there and focus on what's relevant for your birth-- from labour physiology and comfort measures to navigating the system, advocacy, and partner support.
Born Through Movement | 👩💻 Online
Adelaide Meadow is Queen, in my humble opinion. If you're looking for real talk, biomechanical empowerment, and someone who is deeply passionate about helping women understand their bodies, she's your girl. Adelaide has completely changed the way I think about birth preparation, and her work has profoundly influenced my own approach to supporting women. Work through the course at your own pace (the earlier in pregnancy, the better!). And if you know you're someone who buys online courses but never gets around to them... skip ahead to the Local Resources section and find someone who can support you one-on-one. No shame– we all learn differently.
Born to Birth Prenatal Classes | 🧑🤝🧑 In person
I feel a deep sense of trust in Diane, even from our short interactions. She has a calm, grounded presence and a devoted passion for helping families prepare for birth. If you're looking for an in-person, group childbirth education class, I highly recommend her workshops. They're a wonderful opportunity to build knowledge, ask questions, connect with local expectant families, and prepare for birth in a supportive environment.
As one of our community partners, Diane's workshop participants receive an exclusive discount on Victoria Birth Supplies rentals!
There's a moment I look forward to at every water birth– the mother steps into the pool, pauses, and says, "Oh my God, that feels so good."
There’s something about water that is instinctively comforting. We spend our lives drawn to it to soothe aching muscles and calm overwhelmed nervous systems– and this translates into labour as well. Warm water can create a sense of ease, encourage freedom of movement, and offer a gentle environment for both mother and baby. Below are a few of the resources I trust most for learning more about the evidence, physiology, and practical use of water during labour and birth.
Evidence Based Birth®: The Evidence on Waterbirth
One of my favourite resources for families who want to understand the research behind water birth. Rebecca Dekker has a wonderful way of translating complex evidence into clear, balanced information, helping you make informed decisions without telling you what to choose.
Waterbirth International
Founded by Barbara Harper, one of the pioneers of modern water birth education, Waterbirth International has spent decades educating both families and birth professionals. If you're looking for practical guidance, beautiful imagery, and a deeper appreciation for the physiology of water birth, this is an excellent place to explore.
I'm incredibly grateful to be part of such a talented birth community. These are the practitioners I know, trust, and happily recommend to my own clients, friends, and family. This list isn't exhaustive. Victoria has many wonderful practitioners, and I'll continue adding to it as I meet more people whose work I genuinely trust.
Mikaila Budd
Mikaila brings such a lightness with her. Her care for women in all journeys of life is sincere, and she brings such detail and comfort to her work. When Mikaila is in your home supporting you, I can assure you, it will feel easy.

Celina Jacinto
From the first time we met, I felt such an honest exhale from my whole body. Celina embodies doulahood in all that she does. She is a devoted mother to two home-birthed boys, a home-cooked-dinner-at-the-beach enthusiast, birth circle facilitator and a student of Chinese Medicine. I trust Celina completely, and would consider any woman lucky to be supported by her. [email protected] @Celinajacinto
Chiropractic: Dr. Taylor Trotter
We love Dr. Trotter! My son genuinely looks forward to our visits (and their generous collection of Mr. Potato Heads). She's quick, fun, incredibly knowledgeable, and has a way of making you feel completely at ease. She recently completed additional training with Lori Hendrickson (big fan! Look her up on IG). Dr. Trotter also bills eligible MSP directly, helping make care more accessible.
RMT: Shanti LeBlanc
Shanti carries herself with such care and curiosity. She is both deeply grounded and light. This balance of qualities that feels immensely reassuring to receive from. She listens to and works with the body, and I trust her to support pregnant women beautifully.
Craniosacral: Julia Stolk
Julia is our family's go-to. Head bonk? Julia. Growth spurt? Julia. Feeling off? Julia. A former midwife turned craniosacral practitioner, Julia offers gentle, whole-family support through pregnancy, postpartum, infancy, and beyond. I especially love referring families to her as they prepare for birth and again as they settle into life with their new baby.
Hemma Community Acupuncture
Need acupuncture... like, this week? Hemma is often my first recommendation. Community acupuncture makes it easier to receive excellent care on a flexible schedule without breaking the bank. I have a great deal of trust in every practitioner there.
Marika Reid Hall
Marika brings such a refreshing and honest presence. Her approach blends Traditional Chinese Medicine, pregnancy care, and a deep appreciation for the emotional and energetic experience of birth. If you're looking for someone who sees the whole picture, she's a beautiful person to have in your corner.
Celina Lyons
Celina is a local legend. If you've spent any time in Victoria's women's health community, chances are you've heard her name. With decades of experience in Chinese medicine, pregnancy, postpartum, and women's health, she brings a rare combination of wisdom, skill, and genuine compassion to her work.
Brianna Grace Pelvic Wellness
